Semantic Web Engineer

A company is looking for a Semantic Web Engineer to work on ontology-driven engineering teams to manage complex medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a technical resource in semantic web development across clinical, content, and data teams

Design and write quality source code for data pipelines and services, including documentation

Implement and maintain semantic services using containerization technologies and cloud orchestration platforms

Required Qualifications

A relevant STEM BA / BS Degree and 3-5 years of coding experience, or five years of professional experience in semantic web development

Proficiency in database querying (SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with RDF, OWL, SHACL, and SPARQL

Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and cloud deployment strategies

Familiarity with agile development and CI / CD practices using technologies like GIT and Jenkins

Understanding of healthcare ontologies and standards such as SNOMED-CT, LOINC, RxNorm, and ICD-10 is a bonus
