Description

Position Summary : The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the preparation of the monthly,

quarterly and annual close and corresponding financial reporting to our regulators. Timely filing keeps

us in compliance with our regulators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Preparation of monthly journal entries and cash / agents balances reconciliations.
• Preparation of monthly premium and loss workpaper reconciling to the general ledger.
• Monthly interface of accounts payable into the general ledger.
• Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation.
• Preparation of quarterly and annual statements for regulatory reporting.
• Preparation of the annual consolidated audited financial statements and assist with audit.
• Quarterly download of direct and assumed pool data into Excel and setting up interface file for G / L.
• Monthly preparation of Sales and Use Tax filing.
• Testing of accounting software upgrades before implementation (annually and / or as needed).
• Serves as a backup for daily deposit of checks and cash processing.
• Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

The salary range for this role is 54,600 - 95,500. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
