Test & Evaluation Engineer Co-Op

Overview

Test & Evaluation Engineer Co-Op at Emerson. This is a temporary 8-month co-op assignment from January 2026–August 2026 or May 2026–December 2026. Only students currently attending college or university will be considered.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Develop expertise in control valve, instrument, and participate in continuous improvement of test technology.
• Work with Simulation, Design, Materials and Product Engineering groups, as part of a multi-functional team to determine testing requirements.
• Develop and complete test plans in cooperation with internal design teams and external customers.
• Assemble test units, install measurement instrumentation, and set up data acquisition systems.
• Evaluate experimental data and prepare engineering reports that include analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Update company-wide standards and web pages.
• Use LabVIEW, FlexLogger, DIAdem, DeltaV, VBA, and / or Python software for the implementation of automated systems that could consist of process or report automation, physical hardware setup, or data analysis.
• Collaborate in an agile team environment to efficiently conduct testing.
