Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Edwardsville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, working in an environment where people come first and integrity is at the core of every action. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Wed 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Sun 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or access.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
