Senior Loan Coordinator

The Senior Loan Coordinator will work with Commercial Loan Processing, Relationship Officers, Relationship Managers, Directors and Division Managers to obtain necessary documents from clients to prepare a complete and accurate set of loan documents. The level of experience varies based on prior work experience, both inside and outside of the Company.

Senior Loan Coordinators provide operational support to Commercial Banking Officers in the ongoing management of WaFd Bank's portfolio of commercial loans as it relates to loan origination and funding, construction draw administration, compliance monitoring, regulatory adherence, collateral perfection, recordation and valuation, as well as general loan administration.

Responsibilities include :

• Building and maintaining productive relationships with existing clients.
• Preparing correspondence to prospective clients.
• Initiating credit and title reports, and appraisal orders for review by the Department.
• Processing and closing loans according to the Bank's policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Participating in business development and referral activities.
• Coordinating with Commercial Loan Processing to provide all required loan documents.
• Delivering excellent customer service to internal customers.
• Opening escrow with title / escrow companies and setting up escrow files.
• Coordinating and facilitating initial loan booking / funding.
• Coordinating with in-house experts or outside legal counsel on technical transactions.
• Setting up the loan file, including preparation of loan documentation.
• Coordinating closing with the escrow company.
• Preparing boarding instructions.
• Following up on funding requirements and post-closing required loan documentation.
• Following the Bank's Information Security policies.
• Completing special projects, as assigned by Manager.
• Providing administrative and operational support to lending personnel.
• Managing local online file storage and document management.
• Maintaining corresponding insurance files for all borrowers and loans.
• Assisting with field audits.
• Reviewing and balancing HUD-1 closing statements.
• Reconciling, verifying and implementing monthly unit interest billings.
• Preparing annual property tax payment audit.
• Reviewing and maintaining record-keeping for all legal and professional billings.
• Facilitating recommendations to divisional management.
• Communicating status of loan portfolio to management.
• Overseeing daily teller drawer and loan disbursement balancing.
• Adhering to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with federal regulations.
