We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Schertz, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts receivable, cash applications, and B2B collections while ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Responsibilities :

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking, to ensure timely collections.
• Handle cash applications by accurately posting payments and reconciling accounts.
• Perform B2B collections by contacting clients to resolve outstanding balances and maintain positive relationships.
• Oversee cash activity and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
• Process checks and ensure payments are posted correctly in the accounting system.
• Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data and reporting.
• Collaborate with the team to improve billing and collection processes.
• Prepare and maintain detailed financial records for audits and internal reviews.
• Support other accounting functions as needed to meet organizational goals.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, and collections in a detail-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including QuickBooks (Enterprise and Online), and advanced Excel formulas.
• Strong knowledge of billing processes and account reconciliation.
• Experience in handling B2B collections and maintaining client relationships.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
