Senior Accountant
Our client, a premier orthobiologics and life science company, is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support its strong growth trajectory in the Teaneck, New Jersey area. This is a predominately hybrid role. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting critical processes such as month-end and year-end closings.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review intercompany allocations to ensure compliance with internal policies and accurate financial reporting.
- Record and manage tax-related journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
- Conduct thorough reviews of bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze unapplied customer deposits and payments, resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate accounts receivable balances.
- Review and approve employee expense reports in Concur, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Manage physician royalty accruals, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Process and oversee Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and Vendor Return Material Authorizations (VRMAs) for proper accounting treatment.
- Perform payroll reconciliations to verify alignment between payroll records and the general ledger.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements to strengthen internal financial controls.
Requirements :
CPA or parts passed a plus.Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced accounting software systems.Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.Familiarity with the medical device or life sciences industry is a plus.
