Job Title : Benefits Coordinator
Pay Rate : $16.00-$18.00 per hour

As a member of our Human Resources team, this Benefits Coordinator position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day functions of employee benefits and the administration of health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, vacation, sick, and personal paid time off by performing the following duties :
- Assist employees with general day-to-day questions.
- Assist new employees in the understanding and enrollment of their benefit plans.
- Prepare the COBRA Administration in the Dayforce system and become proficient in our vendor system to make necessary COBRA administration updates.
- Process / track vendor data and billing processes for medical / dental / vision / stop loss / life / disability / 401(k) / health savings accounts / EAP.
- Cross train and assist with Leave of Absence administration.
- Assist in providing vendors the appropriate documentation needed for medical / dental / vision / life / disability / 401(k) and health savings account elections.
- Assist in the preparation of our annual open enrollment meetings and benefit year-end rollover / processing.
- Assist in the creation of benefit marketing materials for all benefit updates, classes, flyers, and presentations.
- Become familiar with vendor contacts to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.
- Assist in the necessary steps when employees change their status or transfer from one position to another and assist with all benefit eligibility and changes.
- Process monthly required notices and invitations to the mandatory monthly "Understanding Your Benefits" class, including notifying the employees' manager of who needs to attend.
- Become proficient in presenting the monthly "Understanding Your Benefits" class and explaining in detail the benefit plans, employee changes, and retirement questions.
- Maintain employee benefit files and other record keeping information.
- Perform a quarterly and year-end Benefits Hours audit.
- Assist with the maintenance of Retiree records with hotel continued insurance or Willis Towers Watson One Exchange / National Benefit Services transitions.
- Process Retiree (Broadmoor & OPUBCO) Employee Basic Life / Accidental Death & Dismemberment claims.
- Assist with any bridge of service requests as needed.
- Assist Benefits Manager with the annual 401(k) audit.
- Become familiar with all 401(k) activities.
- Assist with the coordination of the employee wellness and mental health programs.
- Assist with audits, including employee hours audit / healthcare reform tracking, as necessary.
- Become a proficient user of our Dayforce web-based system.
- Assist the Benefits Manager and other staff members in Human Resources with necessary projects as assigned.

What we are looking for :
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Prior experience in an administrative position required. Experience in Human Resources or Benefits administration is helpful. Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.Strong interpersonal communication skills.Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities
