CNC Lathe Operator

Location : Davenport, IA | On-Site

Industry : Job-shop Manufacturing

Schedule : 1st Shift | MondayFriday | 6 : 00 AM 2 : 30 PM

What Youll Do

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes (preferably Mazak) to produce precision components.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to ensure accurate machining.
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to meet production timelines.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area in accordance with company safety standards.

    • What Were Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining preferred.
  • 2+ years of CNC lathe experience (Mazak experience highly preferred).
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand machining specs and tolerances.
  • Comfortable using a range of precision measurement tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

    • Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate overhead cranes as needed.
  • Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods.
  • Shop environment includes moderate noise and temperature control.
  • PPE required : Steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.

  • 1st Shift : MondayFriday | 6 : 00 AM 2 : 30 PM

    • Compensation & Benefits :

  • $20$30 / hour, depending on experience
