Assembly & Wiring Technician, $25–$35 / hr – Madison Heights, MI

We are seeking a mid-career Assembly & Wiring Technician to support our clients growing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electronics assembly, wire harness troubleshooting, and manufacturing support, with the opportunity to contribute directly to innovative electric and hybrid vehicle projects.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in assembly and wiring for manufacturing or prototyping environments
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Familiarity with wire harness building and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
  • Technical certification preferred
  • IPC / WHMA-A-620 Certification a plus
  • Experience with high-voltage systems, batteries, or electric / hybrid vehicles is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools (cutting, welding, etc.) is a plus

Skills & Responsibilities :

  • Assist in building and assembling electronics boxes for prototype and production applications
  • Assemble, route, crimp, and troubleshoot wire harnesses to ensure proper function and reliability
  • Support engineering and design teams by providing hands-on wiring and assembly expertise
  • Perform functional tests on completed assemblies and document results
  • Troubleshoot and rework assemblies that fail testing or inspection
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve processes and efficiency
  • Flex between tasks and projects as needed to support production and prototyping demands

    • This is a hands-on position for a skilled technician who enjoys problem-solving and contributing to cutting-edge projects in electric and hybrid vehicle technology.
