An established Houston-based family office is seeking a
Senior Tax Associate
to prepare all tax compliance functions in-house. This is a unique opportunity to work hand in hand with the external CPA for a high-net-worth individual and multiple entities in the
oil and gas, ranching, and real estate
sectors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and file 1065 partnership returns and K-1s for multiple entities
- Prepare 1120-S returns, including multistate filings
- Prepare 1040 filings for the principal and annual 1099 reporting
- Coordinate with external legal, estate, and tax advisors
- Evaluate and implement tax and accounting software for process improvement
- Contribute to general accounting projects during non-peak tax periods
Qualifications :
years of experience in tax, with a focus on partnerships and pass-through entitiesCPA or JD / LLM in TaxBackground in family office or public accounting working with complex, multi-entity clientsProven success in handling conversions, winddowns, and entity structuringStrong systems skills and an interest in automation and process improvementProfessional, approachable, and collaborative team mindsetWhy This Role :
