We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious firm where you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys by completing and managing legal work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case management and a passion for the legal industry.
Responsibilities :
1. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
2. Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and agreements.
3. Conduct legal research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense, or to initiate legal action.
4. Manage and organize large volumes of complex case files; review, retrieve, and analyze information.
5. Coordinate the delivery of subpoenas and the execution of legal documents.
6. Maintain case management system by updating with relevant information and documentation.
7. Review and monitor new and updated laws and regulations.
8. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments.
9. Develop a case file indexing system that can be used as an active archive for all ongoing and completed cases.
10. Liaise with clients, witnesses, and other law firms to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
Qualifications :
1. Experience as a paralegal or similar role.
2. Strong knowledge and understanding of case management and legal proceedings.
3. Proficient in using legal software and case management systems.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
6. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
7. Excellent research and report-writing skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
9. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
11. Certified Paralegal or Certified Legal Assistant credentials are preferred.
