Accounting Assistant - A / P

Northwest Naturals, LLC (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tree Top, Inc.) is a leading supplier of fruit juice concentrates, servicing both domestic and international manufacturers for products and applications such as non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, sauces, dressings, bakery and confections.

We are currently seeking an Accounting Assistant - A / P to join our Accounting Team in Bothell, Washington .

The Accounting Assistant – A / P is responsible for accurately performing accounts payable functions and assisting with other accounting functions.

This position reports to the Financial Accounting Manager and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with all departments and employees within Northwest Naturals and external customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Prepare and input supplier invoices for payment. Match invoices to purchase orders (P.O.) / receiving, and verify accuracy. Research and resolve any issues or discrepancies for suppliers. Prepare A / P checks for payment. Properly record general ledger (G / L) numbers for invoices.
• Assist in monthly closing functions. Prepare month-end journal entries and financials. Record and pay brokerage monthly.
• Perform other accounting functions, including but not limited to : reviewing and auditing expense reports; processing credit requests of vendors; maintaining and reconciling petty cash; compiling reports and statements required by management or government agencies; bank reconciliations; sales tax reports and serving as a backup for other accounting assistant duties such as accounts receivable and cash deposits.
• Maintain supplier database. Set up new suppliers in system, update suppliers' information, and maintain supplier W-9's.
• Data analysis and reporting.

Pay Information

Salary range : $63,300 to 88,600 annually

Target Starting Range : $65,000 to $75,900 annually

This range reflects the full pay scale for all roles within this position's grade. The actual salary offer will consider various factors, such as experience and, if applicable, location.
