What makes this a great opportunity? The Global Brand Public Relations team functions as an in-house agency, supporting the diverse brands within The House of Suntory portfolio including Hibiki, Yamazaki, Hakushu and Toki whiskies, as well as Roku Gin and Haku Vodka. Reporting to the Director of Global Brand Public Relations for The House of Suntory, this role is embedded within the Global and U.S. marketing teams to support our premium spirits brands. The Manager is responsible for delivering innovative global public relations campaigns, programs and events that align with annual brand strategies and growth objectives.
This individual is strategic, culturally attuned and is an expert in events and media, with a deep understanding of cultural trends and nuances that are essential for delivering engaging consumer PR that positions our brands at the forefront of market trends. The Manager will oversee multiple agency partners and cultivate strategic partnerships through endorsements with celebrities, influencers, and brand integrations that enhance our brand messaging through earned media channels.
Role Responsibilities Motivated self-starter, a strong writer and communicator, a natural team player, and a strategic and creative manager with a passion for integrating brands into culture.
Develops global public relations strategies to drive programs and events that support annual brand plans and strategic growth objectives.
Produces program-specific tool kits for global regions to execute PR programs in their markets.
Creates compelling pitches, content, and media angles that generate coverage across traditional, digital, and social media platforms.
Maintains strong, positive relationships with consumer and trade media on behalf of the brands and the company, cultivating connections with key journalists and influencers.
Develops and nurtures relationships with key influencers and tastemakers, integrating them into relevant strategies.
Collaborates with digital and social media teams to ensure a cohesive approach to driving brand visibility.
Effectively manages public relations agencies throughout all phases, from creative development to program execution and evaluation.
Prepares and manages public relations budgets as part of the yearly planning process.
Writes media releases, correspondence, speeches, and presentations related to assigned brands and company initiatives. Contributes content to the company intranet, extranet and social channels in collaboration with the Corporate Communications team.
Oversees the execution of regional and special events globally for both press and customers.
Works with key spokespeople to facilitate press and event needs, including messaging, speeches, schedules and product requirements.
Measures media impact, ensuring campaigns meet objectives and communicate results internally.
Collaborates with the Corporate Communications team to develop corporate campaigns for brands, including spokesperson media training and internal / external communications.
Qualifications
Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in New York, NY is $100k-105k, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
