HCSS HeavyBid expertise required; P6 scheduling a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Regional Chief Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction
Full-Time, In-Office | Pay Range : $200K – $250K
We are seeking an experienced Regional Chief Estimator to join a leading heavy civil contractor based in Irvine, CA. This role is perfect for a senior-level estimator with a strong background in self-performed work and Caltrans bidding .
What You’ll Do
- Lead the full estimating process for heavy civil projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and cost data to prepare accurate estimates.
- Utilize HCSS HeavyBid (required) and related software for project costing.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor pricing.
- Provide value engineering options and cost-saving strategies.
- Support the preconstruction team with scheduling and constructability reviews.
- Mentor and coordinate estimating staff to ensure high-quality deliverables.
