Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Specialist in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for personnel and assets. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will support a positive atmosphere. Pay Rate : $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time :

Monday : 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Tuesday : 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Saturday : 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sunday : 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the facility and / or surrounding areas.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on patrol.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered during patrols.
  • Support Allied Universal management and site leadership in maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and property.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
