Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a comprehensive understanding of the litigation process, emphasis on Constrution and Real Estate Litigation. This role will involve providing essential support to attorneys in managing cases, filing court documents, calendaring deadlines and conducting legal research.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation and management, including document review and legal drafting.
  • Prepare and file legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support ongoing cases.
  • Manage case files and case documents
  • Manage attorney calendars including all upcoming deadlines and schedule client appointments.
  • Maintain organized records through effective filing systems and data entry practices.
  • Provide executive administrative support..
  • Collaborate on project management tasks related to litigation, contracts, and compliance matters.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or in a similar legal administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong writing skills with attention to detail for proofreading documents and drafting correspondence.
  • Proficient in using legal software for case management and document handling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to analyze information critically.
  • Prior paralegal experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining confidentiality.
