Job Description
The Regional Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving business performance, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across multiple markets. This position provides executive oversight of property operations, ensuring regional objectives are achieved through effective leadership of managers who execute daily operations. The Regional Director partners closely with corporate leadership to shape strategic priorities, optimize financial outcomes, and ensure compliance with company standards, regulations, and community goals.
This individual is a key member of the leadership team, expected to think strategically, manage complex business challenges, and inspire regional teams toward achieving long-term growth and excellence.
Essential Functions
- Lead and oversee the performance of multiple regional markets, ensuring alignment with corporate vision, operational standards, and profitability goals.
- Translate corporate objectives into actionable regional strategies for growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate market trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend strategic initiatives to enhance competitiveness and financial performance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on annual business plans, regional budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Review and analyze financial statements, occupancy trends, and revenue forecasts to ensure performance against budget and strategic goals.
- Guide and mentor regional and property managers in achieving operational efficiency, cost control, and resident satisfaction.
- Ensure consistent execution of company policies, compliance standards, and risk management protocols across all sites.
- Drive accountability for revenue management, expense control, and capital project execution.
- Provide executive leadership to regional and site-level management teams; coach and mentor managers to foster leadership growth and talent development.
- Build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the region.
- Oversee the recruitment, development, and succession planning of key management personnel.
- Serve as the senior regional representative for corporate leadership, community partners, vendors, and external agencies.
- Maintain strong partnerships with regulatory and monitoring agencies to ensure compliance and promote positive relationships.
- Collaborate with internal departments (finance, HR, maintenance, and marketing) to support seamless cross-functional execution.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience overseeing multi-site property operations or comparable regional business units.Proven track record in financial management, operational leadership, and strategic business planning.Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, lead, and inspire teams at multiple levels.Deep understanding of regional market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and housing management practices (LIHTC, affordable, and market-rate programs).Skilled in data-driven decision-making and performance management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Proficient in Yardi, CRM systems (preferably CRMIQ), and revenue management tools.Ability to travel regularly throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana.Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, problem-solving, and change management.Physical Demands and Work Environment
