Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the daily, monthly, and annual activities of the finance department. The Sr. Accountant should possess analytical & problem solving skills, be detail oriented, have solid conceptual thinking, and must be able to apply these traits to large datasets.

Requirements

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Complex vendor payment reconciliations, including required explanations to outside parties and resolutions
• Work with independent contractors to reconcile prepayments made, efforts towards refunds, and applications of payments towards services rendered
• Assist with month end closing activities : BS reconciliations and corrections
• Full cycle AP functions : obtaining approval, recording, expense analysis, payment processing, and vendor management
• Doctor related A / P reconciliation and payment issuance based on terms
• Reviewing unpaid bills, unapplied credits, and outstanding uncashed checks from prior periods
• AP email management includes : current invoicing, research on past payments, discrepancies, or open invoices
• Intra-departmental cross training & support :
• Full cycle A / R : billing, revenue upload, payment application / deposits, collections
• Full cycle A / P : recording credit card expenses & corporate payables : coding & uploads, revenue offsetting payables, and issuing payments
• Other duties & special projects, as assigned and based on business needs.
