Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Secretary II to join our Perinatal Center team in Towson. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to medical staff while ensuring efficient office operations and exceptional patient service.
- Process patient registration, insurance verification, and ensuring the completion of office paperwork
- Scanning medical documentation
- Handle medical correspondence, reports, and confidential patient records
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth daily operations
- Collect Copays, Patient Balances and complete End of the Day Collection Reports
- Perform Real Time Eligibility for Insurances in advance of visit
- Maintain and update Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Answer and direct phone calls, responding to patient inquiries professionally
- Scheduling appointments in the office and obtaining prior authorizations for ultrasound services and antenatal testing
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare policies
- Prep charts for future dates of services and other duties as assgined
