Purpose

The Chemistry Course Builder works in close collaboration with OnRamps staff and the UT Austin Faculty Lead to develop the curriculum and related course assets for the OnRamps Chemistry dual enrollment course.

Responsibilities

Works in close collaboration with OnRamps staff and the UT Austin Faculty Lead to redevelop the curriculum and related course assets for the Chemistry dual enrollment courses.

Creates modules, activities, assessments, and other course resources in Canvas LMS; participates in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement.

Collaborates with OnRamps staff members to co-develop professional learning assets for the OnRamps Instructors.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with certification in Chemistry, Science, Physical Science, or related field

Five years' experience teaching Chemistry at the high school or college level.

1+ years of experience working in professional office environment.

Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or other LMS.

Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders with decorum and tact.

Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.

Punctual, reliable, and responsible.

Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Chemistry or related field.

Experience with OnRamps Canvas courses.

5+ years clinical or teaching experience at a high school or college level.

Salary

$60,000 + depending on qualifications
