Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details Location : Weirton, WV 26062 (West Virginia healthcare jobs) Facility Type : Acute Care Hospital – Cardiac Stepdown Unit (30 beds) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date : October 17, 2025 End Date : January 16, 2026 Contract Length : 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7 : 00am–7 : 00pm), weekends as scheduled Scheduling : 4-week rotation; every other weekend required Estimated Weekly Salary : $1860–$2000 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (West Virginia or compact state) BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or cardiac nursing experience Proficient in cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and titration of cardiac drips Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips Willingness to float to other inpatient units as needed Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to cardiac, post-pneumonia, post-cath lab, seizure, and ETOH-CIWA protocol patients Monitor and titrate cardiac drips (cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, angiomax) Perform ADLs, vital signs, bathing, toileting, feeding, repositioning, and blood glucose checks Troubleshoot and manage respiratory equipment as appropriate Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, nurse aides, respiratory therapists, and monitor techs Document patient care using Cerner Soarian electronic charting system Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training Discover the welcoming community and natural beauty of Weirton, West Virginia, while advancing your career in a top-rated healthcare facility.
