Position : Contract 2nd shift IT Support Engineer – Columbus, OH
Hours : Monday–Friday, 4 : 00 pm – 12 : 00 am
Responsibilities
- Provides support across a broad range of technologies and liaises with multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and requests related to the endpoint fleet.
- Communicates effectively about technical topics and explains solutions in both technical and nontechnical terms; delivers first-class customer service.
- Build, install, and maintain endpoints (PCs & MAC) in accordance with IT standards; perform routine maintenance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot issues related to Windows and MAC endpoints; prioritize problems by severity, urgency, and business impact.
- Provide remote support to other facilities as part of daily responsibilities; mentor peers through knowledge sharing and guidance.
- Collaborate with enterprise support teams and outside vendors to resolve problems or issues.
- Work with Microsoft Active Directory; SCCM experience is a plus.
- Manage local LAN architecture and components in compliance with enterprise standards.
- Coordinate asset moves, installs, upgrades, removals, and configurations through the change management process.
- Support wireless networks, servers, network and peripheral devices related to desktop infrastructure in accordance with department standards.
- Maintain service levels and adhere to department guidelines and corporate policies; log and track interactions (incidents, change tickets, etc.) in the ITSM toolset.
- Maintain asset records throughout the lifecycle of endpoints and conduct routine audits to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
- Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or 3–5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to solve moderately complex problems by analyzing variables and applying learned solutions.Compliance with facility EHS procedures and PPE requirements; lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.Knowledge of endpoint software OS (Windows current / recent versions, macOS), Microsoft Office, Google Suite & Drive is a plus.Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels.Ability to learn specialized software as needed and maintain proficiency with primary tools used in daily work.Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and clear written communication.Additional Information
