Responsibilities

Responsible for providing direct support in the area of Postal and Central Receiving Services for the Office of Business Services (OBS).

• Responsible for providing support in the areas of Postal and Central Receiving to include but not be limited to receiving and sorting incoming mail and freight from delivery services. Responsibilities include packing slip reconciliation and assigning bar codes for mail and freight tracking.
• Position will be required to drive a delivery box truck, operate pallet jacks, and other related equipment with training provided by the University.

Responsible for processing outgoing mail, packages, and freight for shipping. Responsibilities will include labeling, calculating correct postage, operating a postal meter machine, affixing postage on outgoing letters, flats, and packages from FSU departments by weight and type of mail in an organized fashion. Generating labels, tray tags, and bar codes in accordance with USPS, Fed Ex, and UPS regulations.

Anticipated Salary Range

The anticipated starting salary for this position is in the mid $30,000’s, commensurate with experience and education.
