Must be highly proficient with PLC ladder logic, panel design and build, controls component specifications, AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Visio, MS Projects. SolidWorks 3D experience is a plus. Must have strong documentation and communication skills. Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, DFM and DFA methodologies. Robotics and discrete event simulation experience is a plus. Overview
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for definition, design, build and programming of automated equipment to be used within our operating companies. This role will be cross-functional and will have you as a contributor within the small team working a diverse range of equipment and robotics.
Base pay range
$115,000.00 / yr - $125,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Participates in engineering projects regarding new equipment designs and builds.
- Work with subsidiaries to develop manufacturing automation and equipment for processing and assembly improvements.
- Work with the team, contractors, consultants, equipment manufacturers and integrators to achieve on-time and on-budget execution of projects.
- Oversee and lead installation / commissioning when required.
- Development new equipment / product design from conception through the successful release to operations.
- Ensures that designs satisfy all engineering parameters (safety, reliability, etc.), industry codes and standards, state or provincial codes & standards.
- Undertake other duties reasonable and consistent with the position as needed.
- Travel up to 20%.
