Overview
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for definition, design, build and programming of automated equipment to be used within our operating companies. This role will be cross-functional and will have you as a contributor within the small team working a diverse range of equipment and robotics.
Base pay range
$115,000.00 / yr - $125,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Participates in engineering projects regarding new equipment designs and builds.
- Work with subsidiaries to develop manufacturing automation and equipment for processing and assembly improvements.
- Work with the team, contractors, consultants, equipment manufacturers and integrators to achieve on-time and on-budget execution of projects.
- Oversee and lead installation / commissioning when required.
- Development new equipment / product design from conception through the successful release to operations.
- Ensures that designs satisfy all engineering parameters (safety, reliability, etc.), industry codes and standards, state or provincial codes & standards.
- Undertake other duties reasonable and consistent with the position as needed.
- Travel up to 20%.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
4-year degree in Engineering with three to five years of manufacturing or related work experience.Must be highly proficient with PLC ladder logic, panel design and build, controls component specifications, AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Visio, MS Projects.SolidWorks 3D experience is a plus.Must have strong documentation and communication skills.Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, DFM and DFA methodologies.Robotics and discrete event simulation experience is a plus.Seniority level
