Responsibilities

Team Introduction The Multimedia Data Science team is responsible for optimizing app experience related to performance for TikTok users. This team collaborates with teams across the content creation and consumption ecosystem to provide end-to-end, data driven optimization solutions. We are looking for data science leader who have data mining experience and strong analytical skills to identify high-impact opportunity areas, as well as global team management. Responsibilities - Own and conduct data analysis related to multimedia architecture. - Ensure data quality by monitoring event tracking quality, participating in event tracking design reviews, and collaborating with the data engineering team. Build efficient data ETL processes and maintain data SLAs. - Develop and maintain a comprehensive data metrics system, including defining indicators, building dashboards, ensuring stability and availability, and conducting root cause analysis for metrics. - Perform data analysis based on business requirements, support data analysis for special projects, and provide ongoing data analysis support. - Support A / B testing initiatives by optimizing A / B testing processes, producing Libra indicators, providing attribution analysis, and generating A / B testing conclusions and reports. - Drive business growth by identifying data optimization opportunities, providing optimization suggestions, and delivering tangible benefits. Develop and refine optimization methodologies over time. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Product Management, Research and Development, and Technical Support, to identify and resolve online issues. Continuously improve service quality by enhancing systems and solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 1. Hands-on experience in developing statistical models and implementing data science solutions Master or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics or similar field is required 2. Solid skill with the following languages : Python, SQL 3. Experience working with large data sets, familiar with Hive 4. Management experience in leading data analysis team Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience within the entertainment industry, streaming, social applications will be a plus 2.Experience working on ambiguous problems and managing uncertainty 3.Strong verbal and written communication skills 4.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $201000 - $395280 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses / incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
