Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Site

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Site in Hillsboro, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout retail and mall locations. Your role will involve interacting with the public, providing exceptional customer service, and responding to incidents as needed. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas by vehicle in accordance with company policies. Pay Rate : $25.65 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Tue 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Wed 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns as observed during patrols.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management as required by site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with retail staff and management to address security-related concerns and support a positive environment for customers and employees.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
