Monday-Friday : 8 : 30am - 5pm
Starting pay is $18 / hour, plus Production & Attendance Incentives!
Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a progressive manufacturing environment where your work means bringing clear sight to our patients? Shopko Optical is seeking Production Specialists to join our team at our manufacturing facility in De Pere, Wisconsin.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Provide supplies such as frames and lenses to the production lab for the fabrication of eyeglasses for the stores. Partner with team to execute lab inventory processes. Place orders with vendors to ensure adequate levels of supplies for daily operations. Partner with vendors to adequately fill and expedite orders. Answer any questions and provide status updates to the production team and stores.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
PRODUCTION OPERATIONS
- Process merchandise and supply orders by accurately sorting and pulling supplies (frames, lenses, etc.) for fabrication of eyeglasses for the stores
- Order appropriate stock to maintain the right inventory levels and coordinate inventory procedures as directed
- Receive inbound shipments accurately and place in proper location in the Optical Lab and ensure all paperwork associated with orders is handled correctly
- Follow up with vendors to resolve shipping or pricing issues
- Communicate out of stock issues to the production team and stores
- Adjust orders as needed to provide a substitute for backordered product
- Prepare orders for delivery by ensuring all orders are packaged correctly and placed in the proper outbound delivery location
- Receive, inspect, sort and properly locate all returns from the stores
- Process all corporate directed recalls / returns according to company standards
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers related to support areasProvide the production team and stores with status updates as neededPartner with vendors to adequately fill and expedite ordersMAINTAIN SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Follow all company and lab policies and guidelinesAdhere to safety guidelines and OSHA regulationsEnsure orders are fabricated only if a work ticket is providedPerform stretching before reporting to workstationMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS :
High School Graduate or equivalent preferredOptical experience a plus, but not requiredExcellent customer service skills (ability to build and maintain positive customer relations and handle customer requests in a timely, professional, and accurate manner)Strong written and oral communication skillsInterpersonal skillsComputer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, data entry, etc.)Ability to problem solve in a professional manner and timely fashionAnalytical and decision-making skillsSelf-motivated and detail orientedAbility to multi-task and prioritizeESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS :
