Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager – Black & Veatch

Overview

Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians on overhead transmission line projects. Manage design quality, budget, schedule, and client interactions across design services and EPC programs. Support business development and proposals where required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians
• Manage diverse and challenging projects across our portfolio of design services and EPC programs
• Oversee design quality, budget, and schedule
• Support client interaction, proposals, and business development
• Develop and manage budget, schedule, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines for assigned projects
• Actively manage project changes with the Client in coordination with the Project Manager
• Review lower level engineering work, coordinate multi-discipline activity, and may serve as engineer of record for assigned projects
• Develop good working relationships with project leadership, design teams, and support staff
• Communicate client interests and drivers to project team and develop approaches to meet these concerns
• Provide support to business development and pursuit activities
• Occasional travel to support site visits, design reviews, and client meetings
• Apply knowledge and comply with Black & Veatch quality program
• Ensure client and industry standards are maintained on assigned projects; provide guidance and mentorship to team members
