Title : Senior Associate Toxicology
Location : Racine, WI or Remote
Duration : 8 Months
Hours : 40 / week. Core Hours of 9 : 00 AM 3 : 00 PM (CST) with consistency of schedule. Some work may occur outside of normal business hours.
Description : REQUIRED EDUCATION :
Master's degree in toxicology or a highly related field
TOP 5 REQUIRED SKILLS :
1. 2+ years of Environmental Toxicology risk assessment experience
2. Proficiency in toxicity study protocols and interpretation with a strong track record of communicating technical subject matter with diverse audiences.
3. Familiarity with global hazard and risk environmental frameworks, including the ability to assess mixtures (e.g., US EPA; GHS; CLP; SCCS)
4. Ability to locate, evaluate, and distill hazard and exposure information from authoritative databases (e.g., ECHA, EPA, FDA) and peer-reviewed literature.
5. Understanding of ecotoxicology and environmental fate / biodeg tests endpoints and their application in risk assessment and regulatory classification.
TECHNOLOGY PROFICIENCIES :
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
In silico methods such as : OECD QSAR Toolbox and the US EPA CompTox Dashboard
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES :
Consumer Goods product safety environmental risk assessment experience strongly preferred and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software.
Knowledge and application of :
o OECD and OPPTS study guidelines
o Application of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), e.g., in vitro alternatives, strategies to reduce animal testing and in silico computer modeling
o Endocrine disruptor assessment
o Experience with PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) software
