job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMinimum of 6 months experience in any types of sheet metal and fiberglass, duct work installation on commercial / residential projects. Must have own Sheet Metal hand tools, company supplies power tools. Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions. Lift heavy materials and not be afraid of heights. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. Versed in the industry and the company's competitors. Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. OSHA 10 or 30. 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s) / office location. Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and / or poles. Climbing stairs. Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Operating machinery and / or power tools. Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and / or wind. Noisy environment. Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and / or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.
Sheet Metal Mechanic
The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for conducting the installation of metal / board HVAC systems.
Responsibilities :
- Assembles and installs metal duct and fiberglass board.
- Blue print reading and understanding of sheet metal shop drawings.
- All phases of duct installation (spiral, rectangular, double wall, welded).
- Understanding of different connectors that are used.
- Hanger layout as well as some field measuring.
- Organizes work area and maintains all hand tools.
- Lifts heavy materials at heights.
