About the Role :

Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift to join their team. The machinist will be responsible for producing parts to exact specifications using CNC machine tools, hand tools, and inspection equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Hours : 3 : 30PM-2 : 00AM, Monday-Thursday + 25% shift differential

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist :

Load and unload machines

Change tools and set up CNC machines (Haas, Mazak, Doosan)

Perform offsets and edit G & M codes

Complete secondary operations (broach, buffer, deburr, grind, etc.)

Inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards

Perform basic machine maintenance

Operate overhead crane when needed

Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and machining symbols

Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues

Follow all safety rules and company procedures

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the CNC Machinist :

Basic computer and math skills (standard and metric)

Proficiency with hand tools and power tools

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task

Proficient in reading and writing in English

Basic understanding of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Basic understanding of G-code and M-code with ability to write basic programs

Knowledge of CNC machine operations

Experience with Haas, Mazak, and Doosan machines a plus

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Problem-solving skills related to machining and tooling
