Job Description :
We are seeking a seasoned Collibra Lead Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to act as the vital bridge between our business stakeholders and our technical implementation teams. You will be responsible for understanding strategic business objectives, eliciting complex requirements, and translating them into functional designs for our enterprise Collibra platform. As a leader in this space, you will guide project scope, drive user adoption, and ensure that our Collibra solutions deliver maximum business value.
Responsibilities
- Lead Requirements Elicitation : Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and analysis sessions with business leaders and data stewards to elicit, document, and prioritize business, functional, and operational requirements.
- Translate Business Needs : Translate high-level business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows (BPMN), and business requirement documents (BRDs).
- Functional Solution Design : Partner with Collibra Architects and Developers to design effective, scalable functional solutions. Define the business-facing aspects of the operating model, asset model, and key workflows.
- Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary liaison between business units, data governance councils, and the IT development team, managing expectations and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
- Mentorship and Guidance : Lead and mentor junior analysts, guiding them in best practices for business analysis, requirements documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Develop UAT strategies, plans, and test cases. Lead and coordinate UAT efforts with business users to ensure the developed solution meets their needs and requirements.
- Drive Adoption and Training : Collaborate with change management and training teams to develop materials and strategies that promote the adoption and effective use of the Collibra platform across the enterprise.
Required Skills & Experience
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a strong plus.Professional Experience : 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role, with at least 4 years focused on data management, data warehousing, or data governance projects.Core BSA Expertise : Expert-level skills in business analysis, requirements gathering, process modeling, and creating detailed documentation. Proven experience with both Agile (Scrum / Kanban).Collibra Functional Knowledge : Deep functional understanding of the Collibra platform, including its core modules (Catalog, Governance, Privacy), metamodel concepts, and workflow capabilities from a business user perspective.Domain Acumen : A strong grasp of data governance principles, including data stewardship, metadata management, data quality, and lineage.Exceptional Communication : World-class verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence senior stakeholders.Technical Literacy : Proficiency in SQL for data analysis is required. Familiarity with REST APIs and system integration concepts is highly desirable.
