Responsibilities Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Care provided for a culturally diverse and high-risk OB patient population RNs circulate on cesarean sections Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (18 : 00–6 : 30) Every other weekend is required Floating required between like units and within state facilities EMR used is Epic Duties include providing care to high-risk OB patients and circulating during cesarean sections Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before being eligible as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility RNs must be willing to float between all facilities within the state if required RTO (requested time off) must be included at time of consideration and is limited Scrubs should be any solid color, with royal blue or navy typically preferred Free parking is available on the first day, with assignment-specific parking provided after orientation Local candidates are accepted References from at least two supervisors covering one year within the past three years in a comparable specialty are required Requirements Active CA RN license required BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required Epic charting experience required First-time travelers accepted Pending licenses are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621442.
