• And much more!\n\nPosition Summary : \n\nThe Medical Surgical unit at Jackson Purchase Medical Center fosters a collaborative and communicative atmosphere to deliver exceptional patient care. Our 64-bed unit is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the best medical attention and support available, embodying our commitment to community health.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and nursing care needs\n
• Establish goals and implement appropriate nursing interventions addressing physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs\n
• Develop, implement, and revise individual nursing care plans\n
• Evaluate patient care outcomes and communicate effectively with patients about their care\n
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed\n
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care\n
• Educate patients and families regarding relevant health conditions\n
• Document all nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and care provided accurately\n\nRequired Skills : \n
• Strong critical thinking abilities\n
• Decisive judgment and the capacity to work independently\n
• Able to thrive in a high-stress environment and respond appropriately\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n\nEducation : \n
• Associate's degree required\n
• Bachelor's degree preferred\n\nCertifications : \n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire\n\nLicenses : \n
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Kentucky.
