Stormwater Scientist (QSD)

Job Summary

Bancroft Construction Services specializes in delivering environmentally responsible construction solutions that balance infrastructure development with ecological protection. We are seeking a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) to support our environmental compliance team in ensuring stormwater pollution prevention measures are implemented effectively on active construction sites.

As a QSD, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. You'll play a critical role in supporting construction teams, protecting sensitive resources, and maintaining project timelines while meeting regulatory requirements.

Location : Remote 50-75%, site visits 25-50% in the Southern California Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and certify SWPPPs in compliance with state and federal stormwater regulations.
• Conduct site evaluations and risk assessments to determine appropriate Best Management Practices (BMPs).
• Oversee implementation of stormwater management measures on active construction sites.
• Perform routine site inspections, audits, and water quality sampling as required.
• Train field staff on stormwater compliance and BMP installation / maintenance.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and environmental staff to ensure compliance throughout all phases of construction.
• Prepare inspection reports, compliance documentation, and regulatory submittals.
• Track corrective actions and provide recommendations for adaptive management.

Qualifications

Pay : Starting salary of $85,000 / annually
