Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to operate and maintain our advanced CNC machines, including TRAK VMC, MILLS, and SIEMENS systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, setup, and operation, with a keen eye for precision and quality control. Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, including TRAK VMC, MILLS, and SIEMENS systems, to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine machining requirements
- Program, set up, and optimize CNC machines for various manufacturing processes
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Collaborate with engineers and production team members to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- Document and report any issues or discrepancies in the production process
- Train and mentor junior machinists and apprentices as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest innovative solutions to enhance productivity
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or associate degree in machining or related field preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, with demonstrated proficiency in TRAK VMC, MILLS, and SIEMENS systemsStrong knowledge of G-code programming and CAM softwareExcellent understanding of metalworking processes, cutting tools, and materialsProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specificationsExperience with precision measuring instruments and quality control techniquesStrong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issuesExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
