PETROLEUM INSPECTOR - Erlanger, KY
SUMMARY : Oil and Petroleum Inspectors visit client facilities, including barges and ships, shore tanks, railcars, and tank trucks for quantity surveys of a variety of commodities including petroleum and petrochemicals; inspection and collection of samples for laboratory analysis.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of company HS&E procedures and associated governmental regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS : Maintain a valid driver's license and a working vehicle (car or truck, no motorcycles), at all times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; talking and hearing; occasional sitting. May climb stairs, ladders, and gangways; may lift / move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : Regularly works in high places, outdoors in weather conditions, and near flammable material. Exposed to wet / humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold / heat; may work in enclosed spaces. Appropriate safety training provided. Noise level is usually moderate.
