Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the receipt of incoming materials, supplies, and products into the enterprise resource planning software with a high degree of accuracy
- Greet and assist couriers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
- Organize and move material to designated receiving and stockroom staging areas, and transfer material as required throughout the manufacturing facility
- Inspect packaging and material for damage and / or contamination
- Follow established procedures to accurately verify receiving documents, part numbers, quantity delivered, and serial numbers to purchase orders
- Maintain and update the enterprise resource planning software and various shared databases with a high level of accuracy to ensure process continuity
- Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
- Proactively identify possible constraints to receive while managing priorities to meet production requirements
- Work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and couriers to receive, facilitate, and follow up on internal and external requests
- Prepare and make ready outbound shipments for freight pick-up
- Complete cross-functional training in packaging to assist upon request
- Assist in looking for continuous improvements, increased efficiencies, and cost savings methods related to shipping, receiving, and stockroom operations
- Ability to solve problems of basic complexity and apply solutions as necessary
- Responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment
- Holds the ability to handle items (up to 45 lbs.) utilizing proper lifting techniques and material handling aids (e.g., pallet jacks, height-adjustable carts, etc.)
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain compliance with Acron's specific Environmental Health and Safety policy / procedure regarding material handling
- Performs other duties as assigned, including performing different functions within the department and working in different departments as needed
