The Project Engineer of Electrical Systems is responsible for providing support for Rehlko generator systems within Rehlko Power Systems. This individual will be considered a primary expert for all service activities and issues for Rehlko generator systems - including alternators, controllers, voltage regulators, ATSs and surrounding components. This individual will be involved in all phases of the product life cycle from the product design phase and various stages of the product life cycle to ensure service and technical support is consistent with the department and company philosophy.

Responsibilites :
Actively participate in the product development process to ensure that the product can be serviced and repaired effectively and that considerations are made during the development cycle for serviceability and low cost of ownership.
Assist with the development of special tools and equipment necessary to service the product.
In cooperation with the Technical Publications department, develop service literature, installation information, and other support documents that will provide a high level of service support.
Provide training for Rehlko associates as needed for installation and service support.
Work with the Aftermarket Parts department to develop a list of factory and distributor service stock of replacement parts.
Coordinate the procurement and release of special tools and equipment to ensure timely service repairs by Rehlko customers. This may include a special tool loaner program.
Develop a methodology of releasing software products used in the product line(s) and ensure a timely release of any software updates. Ensure that software updates are communicated to all service entities.
Travel as needed to customer locations to investigate product issues and assist Rehlko distributors, dealers, and customers in resolving product issues.
Responsible for assisting with failure analysis and preparing reports for the Quality department for corrective action.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Electrical Engineering) from an ABET accredited engineering or engineering technology program OR Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2-3 years of electrical engineering experience OR 10 years of generator service experience.
Electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
Customer service experience and service training experience is a plus.
