SALARY : $1,334 per month (Includes some benefits)
HOURS : 20 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 4 : 00-8 : 15 pm,and every other weekend Saturday 9 : 30-5 : 15 and Sunday 12 : 30-5 : 15 pm
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and some supervisory or leadership experience. Must complete pre-employment testing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Travels to all library locations asassigned to substitute for staff absencesAssists with all circulation duties,including but not limited to library card registration, patron accountservices, and collection maintenanceProvides patron assistance as it relatesto information and reader’s advisory questions, material retrieval, computernavigation, digital devices, and other library equipmentWorks with a variety of software andlibrary automation programsResponsible for special departmentprojects as assignedCommunicates ideas, concerns and solutionsto the supervisor that affect staff, workflow, patron services, circulationpolicies and proceduresKeeps current with library events, SCPLIntranet, calendar, and meeting room reservationsProvides superior customer service whenassisting patrons of all ages at all locationsResponsible for opening and closingprocedures at all branches and departments including cash register and deposittasksOversees the department or branch inabsence of the supervisor, handling staff and patron inquiriesRemains aware of security and safetyconcerns taking appropriate action as neededKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
