Consumer Finance Regulatory / Compliance Senior Counsel – Am Law 100 Firm

About the Position :

Our client, a Midwest-based national law firm, is seeking a consumer finance lawyer with 10+ years of compliance / regulatory experience to join its Chicago office as a Senior Counsel. The person in this role will work primarily with the firm’s national Consumer Financial Services and Financial Services & Capital Markets Strategic Business Practices, which counsel a range of clients across the country.

Responsibilities :

  • Counsel consumer lenders and financial institutions, developing compliance policies, procedures, and disclosures
  • Advise clients on related statutes and regulations as they apply to their business, including the TILA, TRID, FCRA, FDCPA, and ECOA

    • Required Qualifications :

  • 10 or more years of experience working with consumer lenders and financial institutions on developing compliance policies, procedures, and disclosures
  • Experience advising clients on statutes and regulations as they apply to their business
  • Knowledge of state consumer protection laws as well as TILA, TRID, FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA
  • Recent law firm experience is preferred
  • Excellent academic credentials

    • Location :

    Chicago, IL (Hybrid / Remote)

    Compensation :

    The anticipated base compensation for this position is $175,000 – $275,000.
