Computer Aided Design Designer

We are looking for a dynamic CAD Designer to join our team. This position is for a Soft Home Goods Textile company based in NYC that manufactures comforters, sheets, throws, blankets, duvets and other soft home goods products for major retailers. Role is in office five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize CAD and color and print libraries
• Communicate with the Design Director regarding new projects, trend research, development & sketching.
• Designing original artwork, prints and patterns
• Create CADS & product designs for sales & design team use from sketches and ideas provided (bring products to life)
• Recoloring in house artworks as well as body sketches based on customer needs & seasonal trend / color direction
• Complete projects in a timely manner, before deadlines
• Create and edit original prints for production and put them into repeat
• Create embroidery, screen, and embellishment layouts
• Strong color sense & color converting from fabric to Pantone / CSI colors
• Needs to work well in a fast-paced work environment and in a team atmosphere
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Understand time consuming & priority to the project with a sense of responsibility
