Principal Engineer

Overview

PublicSquare is America's leading commerce and payments ecosystem that serves customers and businesses that value life, family, and freedom. We are hiring for a Principal Payments Engineer as we expand our team. In this role you will build and deliver consumer facing web applications and APIs that are easy for end users to use to delight our customers. You will be leading a team of engineers to work closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high quality software and systems. You will have a strong passion for automation and testing focusing on quality, cost reductions, security, and compliance. Our FinTech products are API first solutions which require thinking about the full development lifecycle including integration, developer documentation, and post-integration support, monitoring, and logging.

Responsibilities

• Help architect, develop and deliver high quality solutions for our consumer payments / credit products (respectively).
• Set and maintain product and engineering standards within the team.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to define and align on product requirements and roadmaps.
• Grow and develop fellow engineers on the product.
• Constantly look for opportunities to automate and improve aspects of the product and engineering processes.
• Write and maintain developer documentation.
