401(k)Dental insuranceTraining & developmentVision insuranceHealth insuranceRole Objectives : Responsible for the safe and efficient handling of vessel mooring lines during the mooring and unmooring of ships. This includes securing and releasing mooring lines to and from bollards, cleats, or other fixed points on the dock, and ensuring all linehandling operations are performed in compliance with safety protocols and maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manually pull / push / lift / drag mooring lines from vessel to a mooring bollard / winch / cleat on dock or vice versa.
- Operate mooring equipment i.e. winches, as required.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with vessel crew via hand signals, radio, and verbal commands.
- Inspects and reports visual and auditory indications of line fraying, separation, or failure.
- Work in all types of weather elements.
- Climbing vertical ladders to get on / off boats, docks, piers, wharves, dolphins and walkways.
- Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Education / Experience :
- Current TWIC
- Valid Drivers License
Physical Requirements :
- Must exert up to 50 pounds of force / lifting / dragging, up to 150 pounds, and an amount of force constantly to move objects
- Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as analyzing figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection, and using measurement devices
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach
