Security Officer - Telecom Patrol

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to security-related situations as needed. Pay Rate : $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

  • Mon 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
  • Tue 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
  • Wed 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
  • Fri 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
  • Sun 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

    • Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or incidents encountered during patrols throughout the tech, media, or telecom environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, client representatives, and / or local authorities as required.
  • Assist with access control measures and monitor entrances or exits as directed by site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered during patrols.
  • Support a secure environment by identifying and promptly reporting maintenance or hazard issues discovered during patrols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
