Department : ER / MedSurg / Swing Bed Unit Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT - Trauma Level? : Critical Access (Rural Location) - # of Beds : 25 - How many years of experience required? : 2 yrs - Previous Travel experience required? : no - EMR : EPIC - Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 8. Utilize team nursing - Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Dementia, dependent older adults, diabetes, rehab / restorative care post acute illness, IV medication, fluid and blood administration, COVID, wounds, initial care of trauma patients in the ER, exacerbation of chronic illnesses, Geriatric population, general rehab post-surgery. - Experience or 'Must have' skills : Understanding of dementia, stroke, skin care geriatric patient care - Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes - Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, blood transfusions -
