Canyon AeroConnect, an operating unit of TransDigm Group in Prescott, AZ for 50 years, is a leading supplier of avionic-standard communications, navigation, and audio systems. Our products serve civilian, paramilitary, and military applications, including Air Ambulance, Law Enforcement, SAR, EMS, Military, and Marine operations. We are known for high-quality tactical communication and audio equipment, such as radio / audio management systems, Tac / Com, VHF / UHF radios, intercoms, and data interfaces.

This onsite role in Prescott, AZ involves designing and developing new avionics equipment, including airborne radios, audio control panels, and other systems, as well as sustaining engineering of existing products.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair RF CCAsdown to the component level, identifying root causes of failures in both analog and digital domains.
- Document failure modes found in troubleshooting for use in product improvement / re-spin efforts.
- Develop troubleshooting methods for use by manufacturing engineering and quality to create work standards.
- Perform RF testing, tuning, and alignmentof assemblies using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other specialized test equipment.
- Collaborate with design engineering to provide feedback on recurring issues, design improvements, and corrective actions.
- Create failure analysis (FA) reportsand documentation for internal teams and customers.
- Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve production issuesand improve first-pass yield.
- Conduct detailed circuit analysis, signal integrity evaluation, and component characterizationas needed.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. (Optional)5+ years of experience in RF engineering, test, or troubleshooting(aerospace / defense preferred).Proficiency in using RF test equipment : spectrum / network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power meters.Strong knowledge of RF theory, impedance matching, filters, amplifiers, mixers, PLLs, and modulation techniques.Demonstrated ability to perform circuit-level debugging and schematic analysis.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team.Preferred :
Experience with aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronic systems.Familiarity with IPC standards, FAA / EASA certification requirements, or MIL-STD test practices.Knowledge of root cause and corrective action methodologies (8D, FMEA, etc.).Soft Skills
Strong communication skills to interface with engineers and technicians.Ability to document findings and generate clear technical reports.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
