Northfield Township, MI (population 8,479) Located just north of Ann Arbor in Washtenaw County, Northfield Township is seeking an experienced, service-oriented, and certified professional to serve as its next Building Official.

The Township's Building Department plays a key role in supporting the community goals and ensuring safe buildings across the community.
The Building Official is a full-time position responsible for the enforcement and administration of all applicable Michigan Building Codes and Township ordinances. The position supervises the Building Department, manages contracted inspectors, coordinates with planning and zoning staff, and ensures excellent customer service to residents, developers, and business owners. The ideal candidate will be experienced in residential and commercial construction and inspections and will be a collaborative problem solver.
