role that requires a candidate to

travel

to field client sites.

Summary Objective

The Construction Manager directs the overall management of construction projects, overseeing the projects from development to completion. This is a hybrid role, candidate will be remote when they're not traveling to field client sites.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering or management related discipline; and

A minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in project and / or construction management.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master’s degree in construction, engineering or management related discipline; and

5 years’ experience in the power, oil & gas, data center and / or district energy industries; and

Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.

Required

Manages the planning, materials, building, and budget of a construction projects.

Selects appropriate construction methods and strategies; and schedules and coordinates construction processes so that projects meet design specifications.

Ensures all of aspects of construction projects (safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality) are met.

Collaborates with engineers, designers, project managers and production management on construction related issues.

Ensures required licenses and permits are obtained, confers with city or county inspectors, and ensures compliance of legal requirements, company regulations, and building and safety codes and guidelines.

Works with Procurement to choose appropriate materials and plan the best way to get materials to the building sites.

Respond to work delays, other problems, and emergencies.

Reports on construction progress to the Project Manager and to clients.

Participate in ISO 9001 and other audits.
